Membership & Registration

All of the Centre’s activities require Membership. You can fill out the Membership form at the Centre and pay the fees at the same time.  Or you can click on the Membership tab at the top of the website page to print out the form at home and bring it with you. Membership remains at $30 for the year. Please arrive at least 15 minutes earlier than the activity you are pre-registered to attend, to fill out the Membership form and pay the fees in cash or cheque. We are a small charity so we do not have online registration. (we are not part of the City of Toronto’s programs or registration sites).

*Membership Drop-in In Person, Fridays, from 12:30 pm – 3:00 pm.

*All activities require Registration. This can be done by email, phone or in person. Fees for classes must be paid by the Registration deadline dates per activities and can be paid by cash or cheque.
Registration deadline dates for activities are posted.  There are no refunds for missed classes by members.

*You must already be a member to register for Fitness classes or Socials.

Crafts: Design & Colour Butterflies

Wednesday, July 15th at 2:00 pm. For Members.

Colour and design paper butterflies to decorate the Centre for Summertime. All supplies provided. No art skills required. Colouring and painting is a relaxing way to express your imagination and socialize with your fellow members.  Please register for a seat by July 9th.

Ice Cream Social

Thursday, July 16th at 1:00 pm.  For Members.

Join in the fun of Let’s Play Bingo! and then have an ice cream dessert afterwards. Cost: $2.00.  Register for a seat by July 13th.

Terrific Tropical Social

Tuesday, July 28th at 1:00 pm. For Members. 

Join in by guessing at interesting facts for Summertime trivia and enjoy some Caribbean theme refreshments and snacks. Cost: $5.00. Register by: July 23rd by email or in person.

Board Game Afternoon

Tuesdays, from 1:00 – 3:00 pm.  Pre-Registration is required for a seat. For Members.

Balance, Stretch & Strengthen

Wednesdays: 12:30 – 1:30 pm. For Members.

New set of classes begin on June 10th – July 22nd. (starts again on July 29th)

  • improve leg & hip strength to help with balance
  • improve core strength & posture
  • head to toe stretching exercises
  • build upper & lower body strength with hand weights
  • improve cardiovascular health with low impact aerobic exercises to good music!
  • an Active class, not for individuals who need to remain seated for an entire fitness class
  • This is an excellent workout! and a popular class with our members!
  • Please wear comfortable clothing, proper shoes and bring your own water.

$30/6weeks (cash or cheque only). Payment for this class will be taken at the first class or in advance of the start date.  You must be a member of the Centre prior to any fitness class. Registration is required one week ahead of these classes for all members. Email registration is: [email protected] or in person when at the Centre. This class runs every 6 weeks.

Seated Fitness & Toning

MONDAYS, 12:30 – 1:30 pm. For Members. 

Classes begin again June 15th – July 27th. (no class on July 20th). Classes restart on August 10th.

Don’t be fooled by a seated fitness class–it is a great workout and will help overall body fitness! (standing exercises for balance are included in the workout).

  • Stretching and strengthening exercises (including hand weights)
  • Exercises for range of motion and posture
  • Improve flexibility and mobility
  • Core strengthening exercises
  • Standing exercises to improve balance
  • Toning arms and legs and waist
  • Wear comfortable clothing and good shoes, bring your own water

$30/6 weeks (cash or cheque only). Payment can be taken in advance of the start date or on the first day of classes but you must be on the attendance list. You must be a member of the Centre to register for fitness classes.

News & Views Discussion Group

Wednesdays, 2:00 – 3:30 pm. For Members.

Do you enjoy discussing or listening in about current events? Do you want to stay informed about what is happening in our community, in Canada and around the world? Then this is the group for you!  The moderator will share lesser known but fascinating news from the areas of Science, History, Technology, World news.

You can listen in or share your comments as this is an informal and easy going group. Discuss, Debate, Learn Together. Hope you will join in!
