Strength and Stretch Exercise Class

Wednesdays: 11:30 am – 12:30 pm

This class focuses on Heart Health.  It consists of:

  • low impact cardio
  • strengthening exercises to increase your heart rate
  • hand-held weights and soft balls
  • some dancing style exercises
  • mostly standing exercises
  • a good workout!

 

$25.00 for 4 classes. Membership required. Pre-registration is required.  You must register in advance for this class so that your name is on the participant list before the start of classes as the class size is limited to maintain physical distancing. Payment can be mailed to the Centre or provided before the first class.

Masks must be worn indoors. You may remove your mask to participate in the exercises. Once done, please put your mask back on.  Physical distancing in effect. Please bring your own water. Please bring your proof of vaccination card.

Fit and Fun Fitness

Wednesdays, 1:30 pm – 2:30 pm

Low Impact Aerobics; Improve Joint Mobility and your Balance while moving to fun music!  This class also incorporates resistance bands and balls for strengthening of muscles and helping to increase mobility in arms, lets and trunk.  A good workout for everyone and all levels!

The class is mostly done sitting in a chair but you can stand to do some of the strengthening and mobility exercises if you wish.

Fee: $25 for 4 classes/weekly.  ongoing. Monthly blocks of classes. Membership required.

You may remove your mask when participating in the exercise class.  Please bring proof of vaccination card.

Seated Yoga

Tuesdays,  1:15 pm – 2:15 pm

Start Date: on hold

New Gentle Hatha Yoga instructor with exercises that focus on functional mobility, coordination and enhancing lymphatic flow. Breathing and meditation exercises are part of this class as well.  Yoga is one of the gentlest forms of exercise, either sitting in a chair, or standing, using the chair for support. There will be a meditation exercise to start and end the class.

Wear loose comfortable clothing.

$20.00 for 4 classes. Membership required. Pre-registration and payment required.  Please register in advance for this program so that your name is on the participant list. The class size is limited to maintain physical distancing. Payment can be mailed to the Centre or provided before the first class.

*There is an option to have this class twice a week if members are interested. To be determined after the first class. (Fees would then change for having the class Tuesdays & Thursdays).

*There is an option to have this class over Zoom.  Please make your preference known when you register.

 

Table Tennis

Tuesdays: 11:00 am – 12:30 pm

Fridays: 11:00 am – 12:30 pm

Pre-registration required.

Singles play only. No drop-in. Limited number of players per session. Pre-registration required for each day. Your time will be confirmed with you by email or phone, depending on how you have registered. Email preferred.  You may register weekly to play table tennis.

Please email your full name and phone number with the time slot that you would prefer and a second choice for a time slot in case the first is already filled. Email: [email protected] or leave a clear message on the voicemail with your name, phone number and preferred time slot.

**Please do not come to the Centre for 14 Days if you have travelled outside of Canada or have been in contact with anyone who may be ill.**

 

Masks are required while at the Centre. You may remove your mask to participate in an active activity. Then you must put your mask back on while you rest or wait your next turn at play.
