Registration & Membership

Membership fees for 2024 remain at $30 for the year. Your membership fees can be paid prior to any activity that you have registered for or are attending, except for socials and fitness classes. We accept cash or cheque. To attend a Social or a Fitness class, you must already be a member of the Centre.

Registration & Membership/Fee Payment Drop-in on Fridays between 12:30 pm – 3:00 pm.

Please DO NOT attend the Centre or any activity if you feel unwell or have symptoms of an illness; or if you live with someone who is ill or has symptoms of being ill. We want to keep everyone healthy and well in this new year to enjoy the activities together. Thank-you.

Qi Gong Classes

MONDAYS,  from 1:15 pm – 2:15pm. for Members. (please note time change)

New Classes: Sept. 9th to Oct. 21st. (no class Oct. 14th).  Register by Sept. 2nd. in person or by email.

Next Set of Classes begins on November 11th for 6 weeks. Registration is required by November 4th.

Qi Gong (said “chee gong:), is an ancient Chinese meditation and movement type of exercise. It involves movement,  breathing techniques and meditation. (it is similar to Tai Chi but has more movement techniques). A great workout!  Please wear comfortable clothing and bring your own water.

Cost: $35 for 6 weeks. (cash or cheque accepted in advance or on the first day of class). Email to register: [email protected]

 

Balance, Strength & Stretch Fitness Class

Wednesdays: 12:30 pm – 1:30 pm. (6 weeks/ $35).

New set of Classes run September 11th to October 16th.  
Next Set of Classes: Start October 23rd. If you are not a member yet and would like to take this class, please indicate your interest in taking this class by October 10th. Please send an email with your name and phone number or drop in on Friday to register and become a member in advance of the start date of the next set of classes. You must be registered in advance of the next set of classes.

  • improve ankle & hip strength to help with balance
  • improve core strength
  • improve posture
  • build upper & lower body strength with hand weights and bands
  • improve cardiovascular health with low impact aerobic exercises
  • an active class, not for individuals who need to remain seated for an entire fitness class
  • This is an excellent workout! and a popular class with our members!
  • Please wear comfortable clothing, proper shoes and bring your own water.

Payment for this class will be taken at the first class or in advance of the start date. You must already be a member of the Centre prior to any fitness class. Badminton

Tuesdays, 1:00 – 3:00 pm. Register by the Friday before to play. 

For Members Only. (with regulation nets; double and single play). Cost to play: $2.00
