Membership & Registration

For anyone wishing to become a Member of the Centre, you can do so after any program. Just be sure that you have registered in advance for the program.

Many of our seniors walk or take public transit, so there is no need to make 2 trips to the Centre to pay for Membership. To make it easy, and all in one trip, you can pay for your membership on the same day as you attend the program that you have registered for. After the class has ended, you can fill out the  membership here if you have not printed it at home.  There is parking in the back and the back entrance is accessible. We have a front and back entrance for those who are new and coming to the Centre.

*If you have not registered for a program, you can pay for membership in person on Wednesdays between 12:30 pm and 3:00 pm; and also on Fridays between 11:30 am – 3:00 pm.*  We accept cash or cheque only.

Balance, Strength & Stretch Class

Wednesdays: 12:30 pm – 1:30 pm. 

For 6 weeks: Cost: $40. (paid in cash or cheque only). FOR MEMBERS ONLY. 

Next classes: Start Sept 20th – Nov. 1st (no class on Sept. 27th).; classes run year round, every 6 weeks

Members must pre-register for these classes. You may register by email 1 week prior to the start of any set of classes. ([email protected])

This class focuses on standing & sitting exercises to:

  • improve ankle & hip strength to help with balance
  • improve core strength
  • improve posture
  • build upper & lower body strength with hand weights and bands
  • improve cardiovascular health with low impact aerobic exercises
  • an active class, not for individuals who need to remain seated for an entire fitness class
  • This is an excellent workout! and a popular class with our members!

Payment for this class will be taken before and after the class, 12 noon – 2:00 pm. or in advance.  Cash or cheque only. Physical distancing in effect. Please bring your own water.

Tai Chi for Beginners

THURSDAYS, 1:00 – 2:00 pm; REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED

Tai Chi (with Qi Gong added in) will be held at the Centre starting on October 5th for Members.

October 5th – November 23rd. Cost: $52 for 8 weeks. Payment and registration must be completed by September 27th. Cash & cheque only accepted.  Please wear comfortable clothing and bring your own water.

Badminton

Thursdays, 1:00 pm -2:30 pm. Pre-Registration required

For Members Only. (with regulation nets; double and single play). Cost to play: $2.00

If you wish to become a Member of the Centre, you can fill out the membership form and bring it with you or fill one out at the Centre after the game.

When the weather is warmer, we will play outside in the parking lot.

 

 

Table Tennis

Tuesdays: 9:30 am – 11:30 am; on Fridays at 11:30 am – 1:30 pm

$2.00 per session. Membership required. (No table tennis on Friday, October 6th.)

Join an avid group of players for fun, friendly competition and exercise!  Physical distancing when seated for a rest break.  Bring your own water.
