Fit and Fun Exercise Classes

Wednesdays, 1:30 pm – 2:30 pm

Start: October 14th – November 4th.

Low Impact Aerobics; Improve Joint Mobility and your Balance while moving to fun music!  This class also incorporates resistance bands and balls for strengthening of muscles and helping to increase mobility in arms, lets and trunk.  A good workout for everyone and all levels!

The class is mostly done sitting in a chair but you can stand to do some of the strengthening and mobility exercises if you wish.

Fee: $24 for 4 classes.  Monthly blocks of classes. Membership required.

Your name must be on the class list prior to the start date as the size of the class is limited to maintain physical distancing.

Strengthen & Stretch Fitness Class

Tuesday & Thursday, 11:30 am – 12:30 pm

Start Date: October 6th and 8th; October 6th- October 29th 

This class focuses on Heart Health.  It consists of:

  • low impact cardio
  • strengthening exercises to increase your heart rate
  • hand-held weights and soft balls
  • some dancing style exercises
  • mostly standing exercises
  • a good workout!

$26.00 for 4 classes or $50 for 8 classes. You have a choice to register for once a week or twice a week classes; by attending either Tuesday OR Thursday or attend both days every week. Membership required. Pre-registration and payment is required.  You must register in advance for this class so that your name is on the participant list before the start of classes as the class size is limited to maintain physical distancing. Payment can be mailed to the Centre or provided before the first class.

Seated Yoga

Tuesdays,  1:15 pm – 2:15 pm

Start Date: October 6th – October 27th

New Gentle Hatha Yoga instructor with exercises that focus on functional mobility, coordination and enhancing lymphatic flow. Breathing and meditation exercises are part of this class as well.  Yoga is one of the gentlest forms of exercise, either sitting in a chair, or standing, using the chair for support. There will be a meditation exercise to start and end the class.

Wear loose comfortable clothing.

$20.00 for 4 classes. Membership required. Pre-registration and payment required.  Please register in advance for this program so that your name is on the participant list. The class size is limited to maintain physical distancing. Payment can be mailed to the Centre or provided before the first class.

*There is an option to have this class twice a week if members are interested. To be determined after the first class. (Fees would then change for having the class Tuesdays & Thursdays).

 

Table Tennis

New times for Table Tennis are:
Tuesdays: 1:45 pm – 3:15 pm
Wednesdays: 10:00 am – 11:30 am
Fridays: 10:00 am – 11:30 am

Singles play only. No drop-in. Limited number of players per session. Pre-registration required for all time slots. Your time will be confirmed with you by email or phone, depending on how you have registered. Email preferred.
